Cytiva Whatman 1004-042 Grade No 4 42.5mm diameter qualitative filter paper circle

Filter, paper, disc / circle, qualitative, standard, cellulose, high quality cotton linters, 42.5mm (4.25cm) diameter, very fast flow, 20-25um particle retention, 37s Herzberg filtration speed, 3.7s/100ml/in2 air flow, 205um thickness, 96g/m2 basis weight, white, pack of 100, Cytiva, Whatman, Grade No. 4, 1004-042.

Whatman Grade 4 Qualitative Filter Papers are a standard grade, high flow rate filter paper.  They are useful in qualitative analytical separations when fast flow is required and the collection of fine particles is not critical.

These cellulose filters are commonly used in qualitative analytical techniques to determine and identify materials (e.g., in air pollution monitoring).

Extremely high flow rate.

Excellent retention: captures coarse particles and gelatinous precipitates such as ferric hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide.

Fast filtration: useful for routine clean-up of biological fluids or organic extracts during analysis.

Grade 4 Qualitative Filter Papers (20-25 µm particle retention) are available in a variety of sizes and formats including circles, sheets, and rolls. They are also available as prepleated filters, which give improved flow rate and increased loading capacity compared to equivalent flat filters.
