Whatman Grade 3 Qualitative Filter Papers are standard grade filters used in qualitative analytical techniques to determine and identify materials.

For use in büchner funnels.

Double the thickness of Whatman Grade 1 with still finer particle retention and excellent loading capacity, meaning more precipitate can be held without clogging.

The extra thickness gives increased wet strength and makes this grade highly suitable for use in Büchner funnels.

The high absorbency of Whatman Grade 3 Qualitative filters is particularly valuable when the paper is used as a sample carrier.

Whatman Grade 3 is also available as prepleated qualitative filters, which give improved flow rate and increased loading capacity compared to equivalent flat filters.

Grade 3 Qualitative Filter Papers (6 µm particle retention).

This filter is also available in the FilterCup, a convenient, disposable, 250ml capacity disposable 70mm filter funnel molded from polypropylene with an integral, heat-bonded filter, (catalogue number 1600-003).
