Cytiva Whatman 1002-125 Grade No 2 125mm diameter qualitative filter paper circle

Filter, paper, disc / circle, qualitative, standard, cellulose, high quality cotton linters, 125mm (12.5cm) diameter, medium flow, 8um particle retention, 240s Herzberg filtration speed, 20s/100ml/in2 air flow, 190um thickness, 97g/m2 basis weight, to ASTM E 2187-09 specifications, white, pack of 100, Cytiva, Whatman, Grade No. 2, 1002-125.

Cytiva's Whatman Grade 2 Qualitative Filter Papers are tested and certified according to the procedure detailed in ASTM E 2187-09, Sections 9.3.1 and 9.3.2.

The paper meets both the conditioned (26.1 ± 0.5 g, SD < 0.3 g) and dried (24.7 ± 0.5 g, SD < 0.3 g) weight requirements.

Each individual lot/batch is guaranteed to meet the ASTM E 2187-09 specifications, simplifying the testing process by removing lot/batch suitability testing - just condition the filters and use.

Note, lot/batch specific certificates can be downloaded from Cytiva's website: www.cytivalifesciences.com/certificates

Cytiva's Whatman Grade 2 cellulose filters are used in qualitative analytical techniques to determine and identify materials.

Whatman Grade 2 is also available as prepleated qualitative filters, which give improved flow rate and increased loading capacity compared to equivalent flat filters.

Whatman Grade 2 Qualitative Filter Papers (8 µm particle retention).

Whatman Grade 2 is slightly more retentive than Whatman Grade 1 filters with a corresponding increase in filtration time (i.e. slightly slower filtration speed).

Whatman Grade 2 is more absorbent than Whatman Grade 1.

In addition to general filtration in the 8 µm particle size range, the extra absorbency is utilized, for example, to hold soil nutrient in plant growth trials.

Also used for monitoring specific contaminants in the atmosphere and in soil testing.
