Gastec Airtec No. 6AH Water Vapour compressed breathing air detector tube 500 - 5000 ppm H₂O

Detector tube, gas / vapour detection, measurement, for testing compressed breathing air, Water Vapour, H₂O, 500ppm to 5000ppm measuring range, 500ppm to 5000ppm scale range, 300ml/min sampling rate, 1 minute sampling time, portable, manual, colourimetric, colour change from green (original) to purple (stain), quantitative, with calibrated scale, pack of 10, Gastec Corporation, Gastec Detector Tube, Airtec Tube, Water Vapour, No. 6AH.

Gastec Airtec tubes are a simple, convenient and economical system for testing gas cylinders, compressed breathing air and air lines.

Industrial operations can often produce, or are performed in the presence of harmful airborne contaminants... when self-contained breathing apparatus, or other devices are used for respiratory protection, the quality of the breathing air requires special attention.

Contaminants entering the compressor, or contaminants generated by the compressor, or cylinder can be harmful to the worker and the respiratory equipment.

Gastec Airtec detector tubes allow anyone to simply, quickly and quantitatively measure the quality of their compressed breathing air.

Easy to use, Gastec Airtec tubes deliver an accurate and precise method for detecting Carbon monoxide (CO), Carbon dioxide (CO₂), Water vapour, Nitrogen oxides and Oil mist.

To use Gastec Airtec direct reading vapour tubes, simply connect the pressure reducer to your high pressure air source, compressor, cylinder, or air line and adjust the flowmeter to the required setting.

You do not have to learn how to operate and calibrate sophisticated instrumentation... with Gastec's Airtec Tube the measurement is quick and simple and does not require user calibration.

Just snap off both "break away" ends of the tube, insert the tube into the tube holder with the directional arrow pointing down, and adjust the flowmeter to the specified flow rate.

Gastec Airtec detector tubes are glass tubes filled with a reagent that changes colour when it reacts with the target gas / vapour - the length of the colour stain is then correlated with the concentration of the gas / vapour present.

After the required time, note where the colour stain stops and take the measurement from the calibrated scale on the direct reading tube.

Gastec Airtec detector Tubes have a long shelf-life with excellent long-term stability.

Gastec endeavour to achieve highest quality detector tubes for analysing airborne gases / vapours, as well as pollutants in soil and water through their advanced state-of-the-art research and development.

Gastec has acquired a solid reputation among its users in virtually all sectors of industry, commerce and society.
